If you're struggling to actually go to the gym, try setting up mini workstations around your house (examples include a kettlebell in the corner of your bedroom or a pull up bar in the entrance to a room you regularly frequent). Get in the habit of doing those as you go about your life throughout the day
As a parent, strive to not drink alcohol. Under the stress(es) you inevitably face, it's very easy to over do it and come to rely on it as a crutch to get by. Not drinking will give you extra energy to be present with the kids and while you'll still get tired / stressed you're energy reserves will be maximized
